What is Alias Grace about? This is a story based on real events that took place in Canada in the nineteenth century. The heroine of the show is Grace Marks. She is a young woman who was accused of murder as a teenager and is now serving her sentence. The prudish nineteenth-century society is fascinated by this extremely mysterious being. At the same time, the viewers begin to wonder - was Grace actually responsible for this crime, is she a cynical murderer, or perhaps she is involved in this unfortunate series of events just by chance?
